These photographs were made at Viele Lake/Harlow Platts Park in Boulder, Colorado, mostly from the late winter of 2019 to the present. I began working on this project mainly to discover and share with friends the incredible variety of bird life which can be found at our neighborhood park.
I have been an avid birder and professional photographer for many years and have found--as in most photographic projects-- this one unfolding in unexpected ways. finding and documenting such a variety of bird life so close to home surprises and encourages-- and I’m amazed and delighted to see how this gallery continues to grow.
